Popular courses revealed as choice and lifestyle draw students to University of Newcastle

For the first time this year, The University of Newcastle opened up direct applications to study – rather than through UAC – and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students and school communities. “From the applications we’ve received so far, our most popular programs for 2024 are Nursing, Law and Education,” said Deputy Vice-Chancellor Global, Professor Kent Anderson. “We’ve also seen strong demand for our new Bachelor of Media and Communications, which has replaced our Bachelor of Communication. “Interestingly, we’ve already received more than 3000 applications from people in Sydney who want to study with us.
